Join this talk and lecture by an experienced designer who combines design thinking process and technology with local identity, artisan skills, and local materials. The resulting products or services are functional, beautiful, and contemporary, while also cater to everyday lifestyle and modern consumption pattern as well as create values for SMEs.

Ricca Tezuchi
Ricca Tezuchi once worked as a Product Designer for Matsushita Electric Industrial (currently Panasonic Corporation) and IDEO Japan. In 2003, she established her own design company, PROPELLER DESIGN. She is also a guest lecturer for Kuwasawa Design School, and has designed many products for MUJI. Furthermore, she is passionate about Asian handicrafts, specifically those from Southeast Asia, and will share her personal interest during the talk.

Veronica Fossa
Veronica Fossa is the founder of WE Factory, an organization that designs and plans strategy for food and beverage industry. It designs, creates and lays out the menu concept and service for entrepreneurs, educational institutions and many leading cultural festivals in Europe. Its clients include Roskilde Festival, Iceland Airwaves Music Festival, Aalto University, British Design Council and Tallinn Design Festival. Veronica will reveal how food experience, production process and the underlying concept can create happiness for consumers.

Emily Oak
Emily Oak is a partner of St. Ali & Sensory Lab. Since 2012, she has worked with the team and becoming a shareholder in the business and establishing the wholesale and retail brand in NSW and Queensland as well as the Chair of the Australian Specialty Coffee Association NSW Committee. Moreover, Oak has been nominated as committee delegate for international barista competitions. After nearly 20 years she remains a passionate and dedicated specialty coffee industry advocate.

Thomas Widdershoven
Thomas Widdershoven is a designer and a Director of Thonik, the leading design company in the Netherlands. He used to work as Creative Director for Design Academy Eindhoven. In this talk, he will share his experience as a designer and international educator under the topic of design studies and the improvement of creative thinking.
