TEDxChiangMai 2024 "What if..."

We are delighted to announce TEDxChiangMai 2024, scheduled for Saturday, 17 February 2024.
About the event
The event will take place at Old Chiang Mai & Moment's Notice. The core program kicks off at 1:00 pm with registration, and Session 1 commences at 1:30 pm. We aim to conclude the last talk by 7:30 pm.
Our lineup features the usual eclectic mix of talks, performances, activities, and short workshops in English/Thai with translations. We have planned 8-10 talks and performances from Chiang Mai, as well as contributions from across Thailand and beyond. Additionally, we're introducing more morning workshops and activities. In the evening, expect plenty of jazz and a BBQ in the outdoor area.
We offer various ticket categories, with more becoming available. Ticket packages include an afternoon break, food, and drinks/drink vouchers. Notably, TEDxChiangMai food has become a TEDxChiangMai signature (we joke that sometimes the food garners more attention than the talks ;-)].
In our commitment to sustainability, we've implemented measures such as avoiding plastic and encouraging attendees to bring refillable water bottles. For those traveling from Bangkok or overseas, we're open to discussions about carbon offset options.
We're looking forward to an inspiring and sustainable event, and we can't wait to welcome both local, Thai and international attendees to TEDxChiangMai 2024.
The theme "What if..."
Our poster artwork showcases people collaborating to create a world that works for everybody—a visionary glimpse into the future we could build.
In addition to spreading ideas, this year, we're putting a spotlight on impact. The "What if..." question prompts us to envision the kind of world we want to live in and the actions required to make that vision a reality.

Venue
This year, we’re bringing our audience to enjoy a great mix of Chiang Mai culture and modernity: our event will be at Moment’s Notice Jazz Club (part of Old Chiang Mai - on the same compound). During the daytime, there will also be the Kasien Market and other shops. In the evening, after the event, there will be lots of Jazz and post-event party.

Tickets
Our audiences are part of our community of people interested in ideas and making a positive impact. Therefore, we ask some questions on why you would like to participate and offer different categories. We are a not-for-profit event organized by volunteers under a license from TED.com. Therefore we rely on ticket sales to cover our costs and be able to offer a unique experience that made TEDxChiangMai a flagship event in Asia, featured by TED and in the press on various occasions in the past.

TEDxChiangMai is organized by a network of volunteers working at Chiang Mai University, other education institutes, local companies, and NGOs. It is a non-profit event, supported by our partners. The revenue from ticket sales will partly fund the event. The event is organized independently under a license from TED. Any surplus is used to
