The Northern Science Park (NSP) is one of the projects under the “Regional Science Park” (RSP) program, launched by Science Park Promotion Agency (SPA), Thai Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in 2012. The NSP is one of three regional science parks in Thailand. 

On behalf of Chiang Mai University’s Science and Technology Park (STeP), the headquarter of Northern Science Park (NSP), it is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the event of the Northern Science Park Building in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 24th - 26th May 2018. 

Northern Science Park has been operated by STeP and other six networked-universities in Northern Thailand since 2013 under the support from Ministry of Science and Technology’s Science Park Promotion Agency (SPA). We aim to stimulate the creation of new technology businesses and be the linkage to build the ecosystem to promote innovation development between academy, government and private sector. SPA also provides financial support for the three (Northern, North-Eastern, Southern) RSPs’ physical facilities. The NSP building has been completely constructed at the end of 2017 and has been used as the office of the STeP, the headquarter of NSP. 

There will be the event of NSP building on 25th May 2018, which composed of following activities:

1. “International Forum on Open innovation 2018: Networking with Thailand Regional Science Parks”- in this session, overseas organizations that have signed MOU with CMU (STeP) and SPA will present about their organizations and possibility of collaboration with NSP.

2. Startup Mobilization session – in this session, startups in Thailand and overseas network organizations will present their projects and business plans to seek opportunities for international collaboration between the participating countries.

The event will include speeches by the representative of the MOST and the representative of Chiang Mai University. The participants will be inform about the new building and its services. We hope this will be an opportunity to familiarize you with our operations and present our mission and work plan in the upcoming period.
