We are delighted to announce the Sedex Southeast Asia Conference 2019 will take place in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday 4 November 2019. The event will focus on ‘the importance of being a responsible business’

As a global membership organisation, we continuously engage with as many of our members and stakeholders worldwide as we can, ensuring that we always listen to members’ needs and understand their expectations so that Sedex can evolve to adapt to sustainable supply chain sector trends.

Our Southeast Asia Conference 2019 provides delegates with a unique opportunity to connect with peers in the responsible sourcing sector, sharing ideas and hearing best practice examples from leaders in the industry.


This year, we will invite brands, suppliers, NGOs and other stakeholders to discuss “The importance of being a responsible business”. Southeast Asian markets are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges, and our members are currently addressing the complexities of labour rights, migrant labour, environmental pollution and audit. We hope to motivate companies to become leaders in ethical purchasing and overcome these risks and challenges.

At the conference, buyers and suppliers will share their supply chain practices, and our panel discussions will investigate a deeper and broader area of corporate social responsibility.

Simultaneous interpretation service (English-Thai)

If you need the simultaneous interpretation service, please use your proof of ID (such as your ID card, passport, driver's license, etc.) to pick up the simultaneous interpretation ear phone and receiver from the translation firm’s technical support staff during the conference. Due to the high costs of these devices, please note your proof of ID will only be returned to you when you hand back the devices.

Terms and Conditions:

√ Dress Code – Casual Business
√ The conference ticket including lunch and tea break, travel expenses are not included.
√ Each ticket purchased is entitled for ONE participant. Resale or attempted resale of a ticket will render the ticket void and the holder of any resold or transferred ticket may be ejected from or refused entry to the conference. 
√ By applying to purchase a ticket and attending the conference you agree that: tickets cannot be refunded or returned unless the conference is cancelled, moved to another date, or if details of the conference are significantly changed after an order is placed (significant changes being a change of venue or show time).
√ If you have no idea which ticket should be suitable for you. Please contact us before you submit the ticket. It would be better for avoiding extra cost as all of service charges will be coverd by yourself when we refund incorrect ticket.
√ You give your express consent to the use of your actual or simulated likeness in connection with the production, exhibition, advertising or exploitation of any photograph, film, video and/or audio recording of the conference and/or any element thereof in any/all media throughout the world. 
√ Admission to the venue and the conference is at your own risk. Neither the venue nor Sedex will be held liable for any loss, cost, expense, injury or damage sustained at the venue and/or the conference. 
√ Bank transfer withholding tax 3% for Thailand company: please kindly noted that we are able to issue only ticket price for withholding tax 3%, we cannot issue 25 baht service charge for withholding tax 3%.
√ Organiser reserved the rights to make changes to the information without notification.

Force majeure
In case of force majeure, the organisers have the right to alter or cancel the event without prior notice, however a notice of the occurrence shall be given by the organisers as soon as reasonably possible. The organisers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. Force majeure shall mean any circumstance such as but not limited to acts of God, war, acts of terrorism, airline flight cancellations, strikes, lock-outs, flood, commercially unfeasible, and failure of third parties to deliver goods or services. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause.

Workshop by ILO (International Labour Organisation) & Sedex

On the 2nd day of the conference (Nov 5th), we will hold the workshop with ILO to discuss the topic related to labour rights and decent work practice in the supply chain, which is also a great opportunity to learn about how to put ILO code into implementation. Participants (except for auditing and consulting companies) who buy the conference tickets could attend the workshop for free.
