Modulate x James Kelley

Hailing from somewhere deep in the shadows of the Dallas (US) underground James Kelley Music, with nearly two decades of existence in the scene, is no stranger to orchestrating dance floors into the night. Influenced by dank dark warehouses and all night marathon sets, his weapons of choice have been known to focus primarily on minimal and techno. He's played all over the US and Europe and we're proud to be able to present him to the Bangkok audience for the first time. Expect rapid mixing and heavy beats.

Playing alongside him are local artists ≠ asymmetric (LIVE), Hexer and Mae Happyair all known for similar but individual styles of real techno.

≠ asymmetric has been producing and playing live since the mid 90s and was a founder of the notable label Embryo Records out of Birmingham (UK) in the latter half of that decade. Now based in Bangkok he focuses mainly on live performances using Modular synths and decaying drum machines and currently is a partner in the Modulate Bangkok events.

Hexer cut his teeth playing the underground clubs of Turkey and nearby European countries. He now is an integral part of the Bangkok techno scene playing at events all over the city.

Mae Happyair is one of our favourite true local DJs and has played alongside Hexer and Asymmetric for Modulate Bangkok. She favours techno but can turn her hands to a variety of interesting sounds along a minimal theme.
