------------------------------

Christopher Stephens is a voice teacher, pianist, and music director/arranger. He has worked on and off-Broadway for shows such as Matilda, Wicked, Shout! The Mod Musical, Captain Louie, Anything Goes, Bells Are Ringing, and at Carnegie Hall in Take the Stage (starring Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller). Ricky Ian Gordon, Adam Jacobs, Tina Landau, Alan Menken, Kelli O'Hara, Mandy Patinkin, and Emily Skinner are several of the many artists for whom Christopher has served as pianist. Christopher is a graduate of the University Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Upright Citizens Brigade improvisation school.

Whether you need to develop your vocal technique, find flattering audition cuts, or navigate new vocal styles, AMDA’s workshop can assist you with your goals. Workshop will be tailored so that each student, regardless of experience, can more effectively fuse pitch, timing, and communication into alignment. Trademarks of a Stephens’s student are increased levels of "the three C's": clarity, confidence, and creativity.

Christopher’s workshop is an innovative method for learning a song, both for singers and for those who think they cannot sing. The workshop is informative, inclusive, and entertaining. There is no special preparation needed for the workshop, dress as usual and make yourself comfortable is the key.
