Opportunity to learn of how VCs actually make their money and operate and to find out where Thailand fits into the Asia startup machine. At the end, let’s hone your pitch through the pitch contest and kick some drinks with a pan Asian group of entrepreneurs.

Jamie Camidge
(Head, Strategic Partnerships & Alliances at muru-D)

Jamie is muru-D’s Head of Strategic Partnerships & Alliances. He is an experienced strategist within the telecoms, media and technology sector, with strong transaction experience.

Jamie has held a number of executive roles at Telstra since 2008, including General Manager, Corporate Strategy and Director of Strategy for Telstra Media Group (FOXTEL, Sensis and Digital Media). His roles at Telstra saw him advising the Telstra CEO and Board multiple market entry / exit strategies including the $2.5Bn acquisition AUSTAR COMMUNICATIONS and Telstra's recent partial divestment of Sensis.Prior to joining Telstra, Jamie worked as a management consultant, serving clients including ANZ Bank, BNP Paribas, Downer EDI, General Motors Holden, and Telecom New Zealand.

He is also co-founder of Pisces Group, an Australia-based technology business serving the retail mortgage industry, providing electronic loan application processing, mortgage data solutions, and broker business software.
Joseph K. Ziegler
Joe started his life and education in Texas but began his IT career in the Silicon Valley. In 1995 he worked at Netscape developing some of the first e-commerce applications during the early days of the Internet. His next venture took him to NetGravity and his second classic Internet IPO. After that, Joe enjoyed building several startups from the ground up in the role of the technical executive responsible for the company IP and managing engineering groups. His most recent thriving venture was Iris Data Services, which landed on the “Forbes 500 Fastest Growing Companies in the US” list, and was recently acquired by EPIQ Systems (NASDAQ: EPIQ), for $134M.
