The value of diversity, equity and inclusion is no secret. When done right, organizations can reap substantial benefits from DEI initiatives such as increasing sales revenues and customer base and higher level of employee engagement and happiness. Despite the benefits, many companies are still struggling to foster DEI in the workplace. One of the reasons is, there is a common misconception that equity and equality are synonymous, and they can be used interchangeably. But the truth is, they are not. In this talk, we will discuss what equity means and why it matters.
